RangeSe. United States to ex. ne Mexico;
(1) s. Florida n. to Alachua County, Tampa.
(2) Coastal w. Louisiana from the Mississippi Delta, perhaps ranging e. to s. Mississippi and s. Alabama, to e. Texas and inland to ne. Texas s. to ex. ne. Mexico (Tamaulipas, Tampico lagoons) with some dispersal as far as c. Veracruz, San Luis Potosi.
Winters inland to s. Nuevo Leon, s. Veracruz and possibly Tabasco. Vagrants have occurred in se. Colorado, w. Kansas, Oklahoma, w. and ne. Texas.
North America n. of Mexican border
Summer and winter: Gulf coast of (1) s. FLA and (2) e. TEX, s. LOU, s. MIS and s. ALA.
