Range

S. South America;
S. Chile s. from the mouth of the Rio Huanco, lower Guasco Valley, s. Atacama and c. and ne. Argentina s. from Cordoba, Entre Rios and Buenos Aires and occasionally Uruguay to Lake Blanca, Neuquen, Meseta de Strobel, Santa Cruz, Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego and the Falkland Is.
Winters n. to Uruguay, Paraguay and se. Brazil (Rio Grande do Sul).
