Northern Territory (Kakadu National Park) to the Cape York Peninsula, Queensland (Common Environmental Park in Townsville and Hasties Swamp) and s. to New South Wales (Riverina District), n. Victoria (Murray River Basin) and se. South Australia (Bool Lagoon) in recent years.
