Andes of w. South America;
(1) C. and n. Colombia (Cauca, Boyaca, Purace and Cundinamarca).
(2) S. Colombia (Narino), Ecuador, Peru (Lake Junin), c. and w. Bolivia (La Paz, Cochabamba at Lake Corami, Santa Cruz near Gutierrez, Oruro at Lake Uru-Uru), w. and s. Argentina (on plains s. of the Rio Negro) and Chile in Andes s. to Aysen and lowlands from Aconcagua s. to n. Tierra del Fuego (Isla Grande).
