N. Colombia (lower Rio Atrato, Sinu and middle Magdalena Valleys e. to the base of the Santa Marta Mountains in the upper Cesar Valley, Antioquia (Nechi) and s. Bolivar) and nw. Venezuela (Lake Maracaibo in Zulia, Merida, Trujillo).
