Colombia (?), Venezuela (Apure, Aragua). Ec. Peru (Mejia lagoons). C. and se. Bolivia , s. Brazil (Mato Grosso, Sao Paulo, Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, Uruguay, c. Chile (Antofagasta to Valdivia, mainly from Cautin s.) and s. and c. Argentina s. to Rio Negro.
