(2) Turkestan, Tadzhikistan, se. Kazakhstan to s. Lake Balkhash, s. Tibet, w. and ne. China.
Winters in s. Portugal, sw. Spain, Syria, s. Iraq, sw. Iran, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Lebanon, Israel, Egypt (Qena and Ras Mohammed National Park, s. Sinai) to a band s. of the Sahara from Senegal to w. Somalia and s. in e. Africa from e. Zaire, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania (e.
