Sc. Africa;
Restricted range;
N. Botswana (Okavango delta and Chobe National Park), ne. Namibia (the Caprivi Strip), w. Zambia (Kafue Flats, Zambezi River to the Bangweulu Swamps and the Nchelenge District). Probably ex. se. Angola and ex. n. Zimbabwe.
Possible summer visitor to Malawi and nw. Mozambique.
Formerly ne. South Africa (sw. Transvaal, Potchefstroom).
