(1) Alaska, Canada from c. Yukon, nw. and s. Mackenzie, and n. Saskatchewan to c. Labrador, and Newfoundland, and e. United States ne. Minnesota, c. Wisconsin, c. Michigan, ne. Ohio, se. West Viginia, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, and s. locally in nc. North Carolina.
Winters s. in the West Indies, Central America (Belize in the Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve) to Peru.
(2) W. United States from nw. Washington, n. Idaho, w. Montana, s. Saskatchewan, s. Manitoba, and nw. Mexico.
(3) Sw. United States and w. Mexico.
