Se. United States;
Highly fragmented distribution;
Small breeding range from ne. Oklahoma, s. Missouri, s. Illinois, sw. Indiana, sw. and e. Kentucky, s. Ohio, w. West Virginia, w. and s. Virginia, and s. Delaware s. to ec. Texas, Gulf States, and n. Florida.
Very small wintering range in a narrow latitudinal band from the Caribbean coast of the Yucatan, e. Mexico to Honduras and e. to the West Indies (Jamaica and the s. Bahamas).
