Range

(1) Pakistan and India n. to the foothills of the Himalayas and e. to Nepal.
(2) Sw. China, Bangladesh, Burma, nw. Thailand, and the Lesser Sundas (Lombok, Flores, Sumba, Timor, and Roti).
(3) Cambodia, Vietnam, Java and Bali.
Introduced to n. Egypt, Arabia, Reunion, Malaya (Singapore), Sumatra, Philippines (Luzon), Fiji (Viti Levu, Vanua Levu) and the Hawaiian Is. (Kauai, Oahu, Hawaii).
