Range

Coastal sw. Africa;
Breeds off Namibia (Walvis Bay to Sylvia Hill including Cape Cross and Bird Rock) and South Africa (Cape Province).
Disperses between 21°45'S and 23°20'S into the Benguela Current and n. to n. Angola (mouth of the Congo River) and and possibly Gabon e. to Durban, South Africa (Strandfontein, Western Cape) and ex. s. Mozambique.
