Range

S. South America; Falkland Is.;
Two populations;
Breeds along the coast of c. Chile from Valdiva, Corral s. to Tierra del Fuego (Lake Fagnano), Cape Horn and Staten Is. n. to Point Tombo, Chubut, se. Argentina. Falkland Is. (Stanley).
Disperses n. to Valparaiso, Buenos Aires and Uruguay.
