Range

S. e. Pacific Ocean; Humboldt Current:
Breeds on is. from Point Parinas, n. Peru (Piura) s. to Concepcion and Mocha Is. off Arauco, Chile (Mejillones Bay).
During El Nino years, disperses as far n. as the Bay of Panama, but more normally n. to Ecuador and ex. sw. Colombia and s. to Chiloe Is., Chile.
