(1) W. Himalayas of n. Pakistan and nw. India (Kashmir).
(2) E. Himalayas of se. Tibet, ne. India (Arunachal Pradesh s. to Cachar Hills, Manipur, and Nagaland) and sw. Burma.
(3) Ne. Burma and s. China (nw. Yunnan, se. Sikang, Kweichow, Hunan, and Fukien).
(4) S. China and ne. Vietnam (Tonkin).
(5) Se. and c. China (s. Kansu, s. Shensi, Hupeh, Anhwei and Chekiang s. to Szechwan).
Introduced to Hawaii.
The Doubtful Leiothrix is thought to have originated in 's. China'.
