Fragmented distribution;
(1) Se. England, Estonia, c. and e. Europe (Portugal, Spain, and Poland (Karsiborska Kepa in the Swina River Delta) across c. Russia, and s. to nw . Africa (Morocco and nw. Algeria), Balearic Is., Sicily, Crete, nw. Turkey, Syria, Israel and cn. Saudi Arabia.
Winters in tropical Africa.
(2) S. Russia.
(3) Wc. Asia (Kirghis steppes).
