Range

Himalayas to c. China;
(1) Breeding range unknown.
Winters in the nw. Himalayas of n. India (Kashmir and n. Punjab e. to Arunachal Pradesh and probably n. Assam and Nagaland), w. and c. Nepal.
(2) E. Himalayas of se. Tibet, sw. China (sw. Szechwan and n. Yunnan) to n. Burma, nw. Thailand, n. Laos and Vietnam.
