Range
Sw. Europe and nw. Africa;
Two populations;
Sw. Europe s. from France, s. Belgium, s. Germany, w. Austria, Czechoslovakia s. to n. Mediterranean region and e. to Italy, Corsica, Sicily, and w. Yugoslavia. N. Africa (Morocco and Tunisia).
Winters in the sahel of sw. Sahara e. to Lake Chad.
