S. Tien Shan, and from Tajikistan (Pamir Mountains and Altai Mountains) e. to Kunlun Shan, and w. Altun Shan, and se. to Karakorum and nw. Himalayas of ex. w. China (sw. Sinkiang), Pakistan (nw. Chirtal, Gilgit, Baltistan), nw. India (Ladakh e. to n. Himachal Pradesh).
Winters in mostly in Sind of s. Pakistan.
