Ne. Australia, c. and e. New Guinea and sw. Pacific islands;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Wc. And se. New Guinea (Snow Mountains, Huon Peninsula, Adelbert Mountains, e. highlands, and se. ranges).
(2) St. Matthias Is. in the Bismarck Archipelago (Mussau Is.).
(3) Solomon Is. (Choiseul Is.).
(4) Ne. Australia (ne. Queensland (s. of the Bowen River, rain forests at Mount Glorious in the Brisbane area, Lamingtion National Park at Reilly's, along Duck Creek Road and on the Blue Pool Trail to ne. New South Wales s. to Newcastle area).
