Highly fragmented distribution;

Winters to s. China and Indochina.
(2) Himalayas of n. Pakistan, n. India (Kashmir e. to Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur), se. Tibet, Bangladesh, w. and sc. China, Burma and Thailand.
Winters in s. India.
(3) S. India (Mysore to Kerala).
(4) Nw. Manchuria, Korea, and Japan (Hokkaido to c. Honshu).
Winters in Taiwan and Lanyu Is.
(5) N. Ryukyu Is. (Amami-O-Shima).
