Range

C. to se. Africa;
Highly fragmented distribution;
(1) Ex. se. Zaire.
(2) S. Malawi to Mozambique and South Africa (Lake St. Lucia, Ongoye Forest Reserve, n. Zululand, Natal and Cape Province).
(3) Coastal Kenya (Arabuko-Sokoke Forests) to s. Tanzania.
(4) Malawi (Mt. Thyolo).
(5) S. Sudan.
Birds recorded in Sudan(?), Kenya, Tanzania, and ex. se. Zaire may be migrants or vagrants.
