Upper Amazonian and ne. South America;
Two widely separated populations;
S. Venezuela and w. Guyana. W. Amazonian Basin of ex. se. Colombia (Amacayacu National Park), e. Ecuador, ne. and se. Peru (Tambopata River, Madre de Dios), n. Bolivia (Pando, n. La Paz) and w. Amazonian Brazil.
