N., c. and e. tropical South America;
One main population and two small, widely separated isolated populations;
(1) S. Brazil, e. Peru, n. and e. Bolivia, e. Paraguay and ne. Argentina. Ne. Peru. N. Bolivia.
(2) N. Colombia, s. Venezuela, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, ne. and Amazonian Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)).
(3) N. Colombia.
