Andes of w. South America;
Two widely separated populations;
Small isolated population in sw. Ecuador (Loja) and nw. Peru. C. Bolivia s. to c. Argentina (Jujuy, and Salta s. to Tucuman, Catamarca and Cordoba).
Disperses n. to s. Ecuador s. to Bolivia.
