Range

Nc. and sc. Euroasia;
Two widely separated populations;
(1) Ex. e. Russia (Ural Mountains), e. Turkestan, e. Kazakhstan, Afghanistan (Pamir Mountains), sw. Siberia, Mongolia, and s. to Iran.
(2) Pakistan and the w. Himalayas of n. India (Kashmir, Garhwal) and Nepal and w. China (Altai, Sinkiang).
