Range

Ex. ne. Russia across n. Siberia and locally in mountains of c. Asia;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Ex. ne. Russia, w. Siberia from Bol'shezemel'skaya tundra on the w. side of the Ural Mountains e. to the Lena River. Locally in s. Russia in the upper Ob River and upper Yenisey River (n. of Krasnoyarsk) regions, and Altai e. to Amurland.
(2) Ne. Siberia from the Lena River e. to Anadyrland and s. to w. coast of the Sea of Okhotsk.
Winters in ne. China (Manchuria), Mongolia and Korea.
