W. slope of Mexico and e. slope of n. to c. Central America;
Three populations;
(1) Ec. and e. Mexico, Gulf-Caribbean lowlands from e. San Luis Potosi and s. Tamaulipas s. through Veracruz, Tabasco and the Yucatan Peninsula.
(2) C. Mexico (ne. Puebla, n. Oaxaca, and n. Chiapas).
(3) Mexico.
(4) Sw. Mexico, Pacific lowlands from Colima s. to c. Guerrero.
(5) S. Mexico.
(6) Se. Mexico to n. Guatemala (Peten) and nc. Honduras.
