South Dakota s. along the e. slope of the coastal ranges in Washington, Oregon and n. California e. to w. Nebraska, w. Kansas, w. Oklahoma, c. and s. Texas to n. and c. Mexico (sw. Tamualipas and s. in the central highlands).
