Range

Persian Gulf region and Indus River Valley;
Two populations;
(1) E. and se. Iraq to s. Iran, and Kuwait. E. Saudi Arabia (probably introduced inland at Riyadh) s. to United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman (where probably introduced).
(2) Se. Afghanistan, Pakistan, and nw. India from the Himalayan foothills s. to nw. Maharashtra, and n. Madhya Pradesh w. to Uttar Pradesh.
