Range

South Africa;
Unknown breeding range. May breed in Zimbabwe (Barotse floodplains).
Winters in the Kimberly region of South Africa (e. Northern Cape to w. Orange Free State). Also recorded near Colesberg s. of the Orange River and Beaufort West (e. Western Cape).
