Sub-Saharan Africa;
Highly fragmented distribution;
(1) Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast, se. Nigeria, Cameroon, sw. Central African Republic and Gabon to e. Zaire.
(2) W. and c. Ethiopia.
(3) W. Uganda and e. Zaire to w. and c. Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Zambia, w. Angola, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and e. South Africa (Natal).
