Range
N. Central America to s. tropical South America;
(1) W. Mexico s. from s. Sinaloa, Nayarit, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon.
(2) E. Mexico s. from Tamaulipas and the Yucatan Peninsula through Central America to Panama including Coiba Is., and Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)), e. and w. Ecuador, ex. nw. Peru.
(3) E. Peru, Amazonian and s. Brazil, n. and e. Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay to c. Argentina s. to Mendoza, Cordoba, and Buenos Aires.
Migrates to n. South America.
