E. Lesser Sundas, Australia, and Tasmania;
Three populations;
(1) Lesser Sundas (Timor and Flores).
(2) W., c. and e. Australia (sw. to ne. to c. Western Australia, n. and c. Northern Territory and sw. South Australia e. in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland).
Winters n. to New Guinea and the Solomon Is.
(3) Tasmania.
Winters as far n. as New Guinea.
