S. Africa;
One main population and two small isolated populations;
Sw. Zimbabwe and South Africa (Transvaal, Orange Free State, w. Natal, n. and e. Cape Province).
Wanders to s. Zaire, Botswana, and Namibia.
Winters to the lower Congo basin.
