Fragmented distribution;
Se. Zaire, Rwanda, sc. Tanzania, Malawi, ne. Zambia, e. Zimbabwe and adjacent w. Mozambique, and ne. South Africa (Eastern provinces of e. Transvaal, NwaZulu-Natal), Lesotho, and w. Swaziland.
Disperses to Uganda (Nabugabo Wetlands), Kenya, Tanzania and Malawi.
