Range
Tropical South America e. of the Andes;
Fragmented distribution in the n. part of its range;
C. and s. Bolivia (Beni, Cochabamba) through s. Brazil (ex. w. Bahia (Correntina), Minas Gerais s. to Mato Grosso), s. Paraguay, Uruguay to c. Argentina (Cordoba, Mendoza and Buenos Aires). Isolated records from e. Peru (Cuzco), ne. Colombia (Arauca), n. coastal and se. Venezuela (Distrito Federal, Sucre, e. Bolivar), adjacent n. Brazil (Roraima) and Amazonian Brazil (se. Para on Serra do Cachimbo).
