South Dakota, and nw. Nebraska s. to w. Alaska on the Alaskan Peninsula and s. Arizona and s. New Mexico, e. to ex. w. Kansas, and w. Texas, and in Mexico s. to c. Baja. On plateau of se. Mexico (Veracruz and Oaxaca).
Winters further s. in Baja and to Costa Rica.
