C. Central America to nw. South America. Tropical South America e. of the Andes;
Two populations;
(1) Se. Mexico (e. San Luis Potosi, Veracruz, e. Puebla, n. Oaxaca, Chiapas and Yucatan Peninsula) s. along the Caribbean slope to Nicaragua and on both slopes of Costa Rica and w. Panama.
(2) E. Panama to Peru and n. Brazil.
(3) Se. Colombia and e. Ecuador.
(4) E. Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam and Guiana.
(5) E. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)) and e. Bolivia.
(6) S. Brazil, e. Paraguay and ne. Argentina.
White-tailed Tityra: Upper Rio Madeira, w. Brazil.
