Range

C. and s. tropical South America;
(1) S. Peru, c. Bolivia and nw. Argentina. Includes a small isolated population in se. Ecuador (s. Zamora-Chinchipe).
(2) E. Bolivia to s. and e. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)), Paraguay and n. Argentina.
