Sc. United States (e. New Mexico, se. Colorado, s. Nebraska, nc. Missouri, c. Arkansas, w. Louisiana and Texas with isolated breeding populations in c. Iowa, ne. Mississippi, nc. Tennessee, nw. Alabama and South Carolina) and n. Mexico s. to n. Nuevo Leon.
Winter s. in s. Mexico and Central America to Panama and s. Florida.
