Range

Sw. United States through Central America and tropical South America;
(1) Sw. United States (se. Arizona) and Mexico (Sonora, e. San Luis Potosi and s. Tamaulipas s. along both slopes including Yucatan and Tres Marias Is.) through Central America to Panama, n. Colombia, n. Venezuela and from the Netherland Antilles e. to Trinidad, Tobago and Grenada.
(2) Ne. Brazil.
(3) Tropical South America in Guyana, Surinam, Guiana, Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina)), Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay to c. Argentina.
