Breeds in sc. Canada (ec. Alberta, c. and se. Saskatchewan e. to Prince Edward Is. and s. Nova Scotia) and e. of the Rockies in the e. United States to c. and se. Texas and the Gulf states to Florida.
Winters s. in s. Florida and s. Mexico through Cental America to n. Colombia and nw. Venezuela.
