Range

S. Central America. N., and e. Amazonian to s. tropical and w. Amazonian South America;
Two populations:
(1) Sw. Costa Rica and Panama including Coiba Is., Cebaco Is. and Pearl Is.
(2) Sw. Colombia to nw. Ecuador.
(3) Venezuela including the Netherlands Antilles, Trinidad, Guyana, Surinam, s. Guiana and adjacent n. Brazil. Se. Peru, c. Bolivia and sc. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina, Lencois) to Paraguay, nw. and ne. Argentina.
