Range

E. to c. and se. South America;
(1) Several small populations in Surinam and n. Amazonian Brazil (Amapa). Main population in e. and se. Brazil (Bahia (Chapada Diamantina, Mucuge)), Uruguay and n. Argentina.
(2) Ex. se. Peru, n., e. and se. Bolivia, w. Paraguay and n. Argentina.
