C. Alaska through w. North America to s. Central America;
(1) Highlands of s. Mexico s. from s. Tamaulipas at least to Honduras and possibly to nc. Nicaragua and Costa Rica.
Winters s. to Colombia, Ecuador and Peru.
(2) E. Alaska through interior of Canada from ec. Saskatchewan, sc. Manitoba to nw. Minnesota s. in the mountains of w. United States e. to w. Texas to n. Mexico.
Winters s. in Panama and South America possibly s. to Peru, s. Bolivia and n. Argentina.
(3) Se. Alaska through s. Yukon, s. Mackenzie, n. Alberta and nw. Saskatchewan s. to Oregon.
Winters in n. South America probably mainly in Colombia and Venezuela.
(4) S. Baja.
Probably winters in nw. South America.
