Range

C. Pacific Ocean;
Breeds on is. in the tropical Pacific Ocean in s. Polynesia including the Austral (Tubuai) (Rapa, Bass Rocks), Tuamotu (Mururoa, Fangatauga, Maria, Timoe Is.) and Pitcairn Is. (Henderson, Oeno, Ducie Is.).
Disperses to the Society Is. and n. as far as the nw. Hawaiian Is. (Leeward Is., Kure Atoll) as well as far off the coast of the w. United States (Oregon, California).
