Several small populations in the s. part of it range;
(1) E. of the Andes in se. Colombia, sw. Venezuela, e. Ecuador, and ne. Peru.
(2) E. Peru, n. Bolivia, and w. Amazonian Brazil.
The Argus Bare-eye was collected in se. Colombia (se. Narino).
