Banks of the Amazon River and its tributaries in nc. South America;
Two populations;
(1) Upper Amazon from ex. se. Colombia, e. Ecuador, ne. Peru (Loreto) and ex. w. Amazonian Brazil from Rio Solimoes e. to Tonantins.
(2) C. Amazonian Brazil along the lower Rio Negro and lower Rio Solimoes.
(3) Sc. Amazonian Brazil along the lower Rio Madeira.
(4) Amazonian Brazil from Rio Madeira e. to Baia do Guajara. Ce. Amazonas and nc. Para.
