C. Central America to nw. South America;
Fragmented distribution;
(1) Pacific slope of sw. Mexico (Sierra Madre del Sur of Guerrero and n. Oaxaca).
(2) S. Mexico (c. Veracruz, Tabasco, and Yucatan Peninsula) s. along Caribbean slope to Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama. Locally along Pacific slope of s. Mexico (Chiapas), El Salvador, Honduras. N. and w. Colombia (Choco region) to nw. Ecuador.
(3) Sw. Costa Rica (Osa Peninsula) on Pacific slope to w. Panama.
(4) Ne. Colombia (middle Magdalena Valley s. to Santander and Norte de Santander) and nw. Venezuela (Maracaibo Basin in Zulia and n. Merida).
